Shaquille O'Neal may be no Andre Drummond, who was effective in shooting a scant 38.6% of the free throw line, or DeAndre Jordan nor Ben Wallace, both of whom shot 41% over their career, but he was a notoriously bad free throw shooter nonetheless.

The 4-time NBA champion more like averaged within range of fellow legendary big man Wilt Chamberlain [who is recorded for having sunk 51.1% of his free throws. With a 5,935 made out of 11,252 attempts stat line to go with his Hall of Fame career, Shaq completed his career averaging 52.7%.

During O'Neal's ceremony at the Staples Center on Friday, March 24, where he was honored with his own golden statue, he became the subject of a little roast that included homage given by basketball great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Before going in on the brolic Hall of Fame center though, Abdul-Jabbar poked fun at Kobe Bryant for showing up at the ceremonious affair, while picking on Shaq about his reputation from the foul line, stating: "Some people thought the odds of Kobe Bryant showing up today, were the same as Shaq sinking a free-throw."
